Internships

Internships are such a great way to gain experience in your field of study. They can really help in the future when you are looking for a job. Last summer I had an agronomy/crop scout internship that was a really good experience. They also help you to decide whether or not you are in the right field. You can start your internship and realize that this isn't what you want to do for the rest of your life. Internships are the best things out there.

Hated jobs

Some people dread going to work. Sure the pay is excellent and the hours are good, but they still hate going. Shouldn't we do something that we enjoy? Or has money become so important to us that we will suffer through work just to make the big bucks? I don't understand it. If everyone did something they enjoyed I think the world would be a better place, and everyone would be more enjoyable.

The waiting game

Career day went well. I had some interviews as a result. Now I'm playing the waiting game. Are they going to call me? Or are they just going to blow me off? This is the worst part of finding a job. Did they like me? Did they hate me? Maybe I should call them to get the process started, and check in. I had already interviewed with one rep at career day. Nobody had called me after a month. He played if off like "Oh, I just looked at your resume the other day. We're still looking for somebody. If I don't call you next week, call me." Isn't that their job as a rep, to call potential hires? Why do I have to be the pushy one? I hate the job process.
